- The estimated 20 megawatt power generation will strengthen the national electricity grid by powering the substation of the Ghana Electricity Company (ECG) of Winneba, a town of nearly 50,000 inhabitants, located 60 km from the capital Accra. It was financed and built by Meinergy Ghana, a local company that also manages and maintains the plant.
