Information:

20 MWp PV plant constructed by Beijing Xiaocheng Company (BXC). It is currently the biggest PV plant in West Africa. The 20 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) project was developed by the Chinese firm Beijing Xiaocheng Company and the development costs for the project was $30 million USD (1.5 USD/Wp = 1.35 Euro/Wp). 
The plant has been constructed and delivered to full-operation within a period of 8 months although the project was initiated in 2012 by BXC in Ghana. The plant is located in Gomoa Onyandze, about 20km from Accra. The PV plant was connected to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) sub-station at the Winneba roundabout.

-40,480 units of polycrystalline silicon panels; 

-20 invertor rooms attached to transformers and;

-one out-going feeder to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) main sub-station near the Winnedba round about.
