Energy Platform of Nigeria: Renewable Energy, Rural Electrification and Energy Efficiency

The Energy Platform of Nigeria

The Energy Platform is a multi-stakeholder dialogue forum between the industry, government and development partners. It seeks to catalyse market development in renewable energy, energy efficiency and rural electrification. Four events are being organised every year with focus on key business interests such as regulatory aspects, investment climate, skills development and private-public engagement.

It is hosted by the Delegation of German Industry & Commerce in Nigeria (DGIC) who also acts as secretariat. Activities are supported by Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP), a programme co-funded by the European Union and the German Government and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) together with the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Programme (REEEP) funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Winrock International.

The website of the platform contains a section called library, in which users can find documents on renewable energy on/off-grid, energy efficiency, skill developments and more. Moreover, information about partners can be found as well as a section that includes news and events.
