ECREEE ROGEP webinar on SolarWorX, Next generation Micro Grid & Solar Home

In the framework of the Regional Off-Grid Electrification Project (ROGEP), a webinar was organized under the Entrepreneurship Technical Support Facility with the aim of strengthening the capacity of the private sector to successfully operate in the off-grid solar market. The theme of the webinar was “Challenges and Successful Models of Solar Home Systems (SHSs) Distribution in sub-Saharan Africa-- the SolarWorX Approach to Modular SHS and DC micro grids”.  During the webinar, panelists Georg Heinemann and Konja Conrad discussed the challenges associated with the SHS market in West Africa and how SolarWorX’s innovative products offer solutions for both households and productive uses. Following the presentation from the panel, a lively Q&A session ensued.
ROGEP has two main components, namely Component 1 - Develop a Regional Market” being implemented by ECREEE, and Component 2 - “Access to Finance for Stand-alone Solar System Businesses”, being implemented by Banque Ouest-Africaine de Devéloppement (BOAD).
