Nigeria issues an Expression of Interest to build several off-grid solar projects

REA-EEP-FEDERAL UNIVERSITY NDUFU – ALIKE, IKWO, EBONYI STATE

Nigeria intends to rely on solar off-grid as part of their electrification policy, as indicated by the call for EoI issued by the Federal Ministry of Power. The call targets experienced and competent off-grid companies for the construction of several solar-off grid projects such as mini-grids in different states of the country.

Among the scope of the projects, it is included:

  • Construction of Off Grid/ On-Grid Renewable Energy (Solar) Micro Utility in:
    • Umuchiaka, Lowa Autonomous Community in Ihite, Uboma LGA, Imo State.
    • Tella Village or Bantage Village in Wukari LGATaraba State.
    • Bumoundi- Ekpetiama.Yenagoa LGA, Bayelsa State.
  • Supply of 40kWp Solar Mini Grid in Anwase, Kwande LGA, Benue North East Senatorial District, Benue State.
  • Provision and installation of Solar Hybrid Mini Grid Supply in Anwase, Kwande LGA, Benue State.
  • Provision and Installation of Solar Powered Street Lights at Ozom, Umuoke, Okamkpam, Umuagur, Nkwo, Ezeagu, Okposi, Umueze, Obodii, Umuomarigi, Enugunagu, Amaogbu, Umuobo, Ihuezi, Umuonaga, Onuiyi, Ozom, Umuagibo And Uguwakuru in Eziagu LGA of Enugu State.
  • Provision of LED light offices corridors and surrounding areas.
  • 40kWp Solar PV Mini Grid Network at Gnami Village, Kaduna State.
  • 50kWp Solar PV Mini Grid Network at Pakau Village, Kaduna State.
  • 60kWp Torankawa Solar PV Interconnected Mini Grid, Sokoto State.
